This family-run gelateria was founded 60 years ago when Giuliano Pompi opened a small dairy in Via Albalonga crafting handmade gelato that soon became sought after throughout the city. The dedication Giuliano put into his work throughout the years, together with his passion and skill in the ancient art of homemade ice cream, turned this small local dairy into one of the most famous gelaterias in the entire city. Today, Pompi is best known for its award-winning tiramisù, and is in fact widely considered by Romans to produce the very best tiramisù in the city, thanks both to Giuliano’s “magic touch” and to the hard work and dedication of his sons who have proudly carried on the Pompi name, always seeking the highest possible level of quality, and guaranteeing the absolute craftsmanship of the products. Now with numerous locations in the city, including the three extremely central addresses listed above, you’ll never be far from exception tiramisù. Open every day, 10am–10:30pm.
