Taste of Roma 2022

Foodies rejoice! Rome’s already tantalizing food scene gets an extra boost this month thanks to the Taste of Roma festival, held at the Foro Italico.

After a two-year hiatus, this delicious restaurant festival is back, assembling the city’s top chefs all under one roof, where guests can sample Michelin-quality food in an informal, convivial setting. The are many news in this 2022 edition, starting from the new location of the Foro Italico and the change of period, no longer September but July and exactly from 6th to 10th, thus passing from four to five evenings.

Eight restaurants and their top chefs will be in for the entire duration of the event: from starred Idylio by Francesco Apreda, La Pergola by Heinz Beck, Acquolina by Daniele Lippi, continuing with some emerging names such as Aede guided by Fabrizio Cervellieri, Campocori Hotel Chapter by Alessandro Pietropaoli, Carter Oblio by Ciro Cucciniello, Adelaide of the Vilon Roma Hotel by Gabriele Muro and Acquasanta by Enrico Camponeschi.

In addition to these fixed locations, a daily alternation will be given to other restaurants and their protagonists: starred Riccardo di Giacinto of All’Oro, Giuseppe di Iorio of Aroma Restaurant, Angelo Troiani of Convivio Troiani; as well as Andrea Fusco of Taki Off, Stefano Marzetti of Mirabelle and Yamamoto Eiji of Sushisen and some young promises like Sara Scarsella and Matteo Compagnucci of Sintesi, Mirko Di Mattia of Level 1, Daniele Roppo of Il Marchese, Alessandro Borgo of Giulia Restaurant.

People will get to know eighteen of the best restaurants in the capital in a unique context, having the special opportunity to see these great chefs at work and taste their specialties, in the form of tastings, at an affordable price.
